This painting was fighting me and I was struggling to get it right so I have done things all the wrong way around to what I normally do. I have done the eyes first and normally I would leave them until the end. Now I have done this, I think it will be easier to mark where the brow and eyebrows should be then the rest should fall into place. The eye on the right is well out and the brow is much too round so that will be the next area that I work on. I also have to decide whether or not to colour the face and scarf or to leave it monotone. It's quite spooky looking monotone and I like that. We went shopping for more canvasses today and I have bought 2 for 2 of the paintings that are in my head at the moment, both quite a bit bigger than I normally use, might start those tomorrow.
