Well the Ostrich is coming along now. I have started to put in very wispy hair all around his head and down his neck. You can only just see it on the photo but it should become more obvious as time goes on. Still only using 2 colours in the pallette and they are Titanium white and Lamp black. This is a very large canvas it is 47" tall and 15" wide.
In a couple of weeks time I am at The Newbold Comyn Arms in Leamington with a load of other artists doing Art on The Railings and I have been trying to think of ways to make a few quid for the charity that it's in aid of whilst I am there. I thought about doing charcoal or pencil portraits for about a fiver a time. Trouble is I am not very quick so I have got to really get some practise in to see if I can get reasonable ones done in about 5-10 minutes. I think it would be a lot of fun to do that but I will have to see how the practise comes along. This means that you will probably be getting a few sketches appearing instead of the paintings, (that is if I dare show them)!
