I think this is just about finished now. It is oil on cotton and only 12x12". I will have to redo the background in black rather than leaving it raw umber but that wouldn't be that noticeable in a photo. I like the flatness of the cotton but I think it's a little bit thin and, when this is framed, it will be taken off the stretchers and framed as if it were a watercolour.
